I'm working on improving my Sneak ability so I can lift the keys to the Hlaalu vault in that crowded antechamber. It's a massive score, especially early in the game. His good and true friend Ahnassi is keeping his loot safe for him while he finds somebody that can afford to buy all of it. Besides gold & gems, there's some very nice weapons and armor.glass, ebony, etc. There is a key to their vault in the Redoran Treasury left carelessly unguarded in the upstairs room.my clever Khajiit relieved the family of the key, walked calmly into the vault and made off with all he could carry. No more stealing bowls, candles, and napkins View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifThe hard part is finding somewhere to sell the really expensive items worth 10K +. Later quests will often award you with nice piles of cash or items you can sell for cash. That's time consuming, to say the least (and remember to remove all the stuff from the body before the body disappears after a day or two), but selling the same items twice nets you tons of money. After you've unloaded truckloads of stuff on the same merchant, provoke him/her into a fight, kill him/her, and resell all the stuff elsewhere. Sell all the loot to one general trader (try Ra'Virr since he buys the drugs, too). Steal everything that isn't nailed down and also do some of the first mage and fighters' guild quests. Go to Balmora early in the game-you will anyway if you follow the main plot.
This is a bit cheap, but I've primarily been playing as a thief (just ascended to the top of the guild), so it's actually in character: just leave them here for now, once you find someone who will actually buy the stuff you won't care about money at all, and if you're carrying it, noone legitimate will trade with you). In the warehouse is a whole bunch of stuff, including some weapons, all the armor you could ever need at this point in the game, and lots of miscellaneous stuff to sell (including drugs. It's on the shelf behind him, just Sneak around behind him and nab it. Either use the Tower Key ability to unlock the door (it's right across from where you start the game) or steal the key from behind the Captain who gives you your Blades papers when you start the game. Rob all the houses you can get into blind (yes, take everything now, so you won't have to steal/sell trinkets later), and hit up the warehouse. If you need a quick injection of pure cash at the beginning of the game, Seyda Neen has a lot of stuff to sell. Do quests and stuff and you won't need money since you'll be pretty much living off the land. The best way to deal with money issues in Morrowind is to just ignore it.
